Recently, a client came in the studio with several planks from a 200-year-old barn from Pennsylvania. The challenge was to create a kitchen floor with a surface that didn’t change the look of the original old barn wood yet would be comfortable to walk on with bare feet.
The wood had its original nail holes, likens, carpenter bee holes, woodpecker damage along with other “really cool stuff” which of course gave the wood its amazing charm and warmth.
Well several days later and hours of experimentation, we came up with this totally green, completely sealed floor!
To say the least we got the job!!
