200-Year-Old Barn Wood

200YearOldRecently, a client came in the studio with several planks from a 200-year-old barn from Pennsylvania.   The challenge was to create a kitchen floor with a surface that didn’t change the look of the original old barn wood yet would be comfortable to walk on with bare feet.

Big challenge!

The wood had its original nail holes, likens, carpenter bee holes, woodpecker damage along with other “really cool stuff” which of course gave the wood its amazing charm and warmth.

Well several days later and hours of experimentation, we came up with this totally green, completely sealed floor!

To say the least we got the job!!

  1. Amazing work ! Mike & his team were awesome and very professional . They were priced perfectly & were artist . They guys attention to detail was apparent as they took 10 hours to lay down 425 sq foot of Bamboo . My wife and I highly recommended them for a job well done 10 out of 10 ! Good luck on your continued success ! Our floors look like the Viceroy Hotel ! :)
